Kisan Kalyan Yojana| How it will benefit farmers?

 Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched the “Kisan Kalyan Mission” in his state aiming at doubling the income of the farmers in Uttar Pradesh by 2022.

Kisan Kalayan Mission

Due to the ongoing farmers’ protest, in January 2021 UP CM Yogi Adityanath launched the Kisan Kalyan Mission in his state. Under the Kisan Kalyan Mission, the farmers would be informed about the benefits of the new agriculture laws which were passed by the central government as well.

Krishi Vigyan Kendras

The Kisan Kalyan mission is to deploy the experts in Krishi Vigyan Kendras who will share their knowledge on advanced techniques of farming to increase the income of farmers.
Krishi Vigyan Kendras are agricultural centers that focus on the practical approach of agricultural research. and these centers are linked to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Kisan Kalyan Abhiyan vs Kisan Kalyan Mission

This Kisan Kalyan Abhiyan is started by the central government in 2018 while the Kisan Kalyan Mission is started by UP State Government.
The Kisan Kalyan Abhiyan chose 112 districts in the country.

Krishi Kalyan Abhiyaan undertakes 25 Villages having more than 1000 population.
Then the coordination and implementation of that village is being done by Krishi Vigyan Kendra of that district.

Under this, Soil Health Cards were distributed to all farmers.

100% coverage of bovine vaccination for Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in each village and coverage of Sheep and Goat for eradication of Peste des Petits ruminants (PPR) also called sheep and goat plague.
